It’s 1958, the heart of the Cold War, when KGB Colonel Dimitry Zavrazin, disillusioned with Stalin’s mass executions, the Red Army, and communism, seeks defection to the West along with his family. He has a bargaining chip, a KGB file named Operation Mantrap, which holds intelligence on a mole in the British Establishment, codenamed Arrow Eye. On assignment in London, he presents this information to MI5 agent Faulkner and agrees to ID the Soviet Spy upon his defection. Back in Moscow, Zavrazin photographs the dossier, and Faulkner’s agents whisk his family to Turkey via the Black Sea. In East Berlin, Zavrazin initiates Operation Mantrap and slips away with British agents, sparking a full-scale international KGB manhunt. The westward journey takes him to a safehouse in London. Faulkner travels to meet him there but arrives after a fierce firefight and discovers the Arrow Eye Dossier is missing.
