Author David Field

David Field was born in 1945 in Nottingham, England, where he attended both high school and university. After obtaining a Law degree he specialised in criminal law and procedure, and was at various times a public prosecutor, defence attorney, stipendiary magistrate and university professor. He emigrated to Australia in 1989, where he continued his career until retirement, when he picked up what had previously been his hobby of writing and made it a fulltime career. After establishing himself as a popular and widely read author of historical novels, David opted to diversify into the genres of mystery, fantasy and crime. He’s married, with two sons and five grandchildren, and lives in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia, where he enjoys reading and music in his leisure time.
