Author Avi Ornstein

Born in Manhattan, Avi Ornstein was raised in New York and spent summers in Pennsylvania. Though he earned a degree in biology at MIT, he followed a path that was not the expected norm. He first made a living as an artist, and then moved into the profession of science and math education where he taught for forty-six years. He’s been writing in a variety of forms for a long time, predominantly dealing with education. For over forty years, he’s also been involved in D & D, where he created his own world, which has been visited by his children and their friends, his students in two different school systems, and now his grandchildren and their friends. It is in this world where his fantasy adventure stories are set. In the real world, he lives in Connecticut with his wife.
